I’ve been painting most of my life; it’s what I feel compelled to do.  I come from a figurative background but my paintings are not traditional figurative paintings.  I use my subject matter to explore the ideas and emphases of my current visual journey. Trees are my inspiration. A kind friend has described my work as “ranging from the symbolic to a kind of unique arboreal portraiture.”  I invite you to look at my paintings and see if you agree.I currently divide my time between Ithaca and New York, two wonderful places to live and explore art.
